Welcome to November! This month and the beginning of December are full and I am thankful. Along with the Turkey the following week, next week promises craziness and excitement :-). Wednesday is not only youngest’s 7th birthday, but is also the night you can meet and greet me at’ Margaux’s Restaurant at 8111 Creedmoor Rd, Suite 111 in Raleigh. From 5:30 – 9, I will be available to talk and answer any questions about my work. It will be an engaging night. I will also have very special small works available too :-). Even if you cannot visit me, go visit Margaux’s for the magnificent menu, wonderful atmosphere (hey, my work showed there ;-) ), and very friendly and special staff. I was very blessed and am thankful to be a featured artist there. Thank you Steve!!!!!!
On Thursday, my oldest daughter will be playing violin at the Fall Raleigh Children’s Orchestra concert at Sertoma Art Center,1400 W. Millbrook Road, at 7:00pm. This is always a wonderful event to see children as young as first grade playing in a structured orchestra of violins, violas, cellos, basses and surprises! Ilsa Mann is an amazing conductor, and the coaches, Molly Olah, Tanya Suggs, Gail Rasdorf, are so wonderful with the kids!
Never left out, the littlest will be busy on Friday building bears in Crabtree for her birthday party! What a week :-).
Then there is Thanksgiving, followed soon by the Boylan Heights Artwalk, December 2, 2012, 12-5pm. This will be my first time participating as an artist. I have participated as a consumer in the past and have several pieces that I treasure greatly. I think about my experience of finding them every time I use and view them. You never know what you will discover there. It will be a blast!
