We survived the Winter of 2015 in Massachusetts! I am hard at work settling in up here in Franklin, MA. I am taking advantage of the art education available to me up here by enrolling in a continuing education Figure Drawing class at RISD with Robin Wiseman. I can already feel a shift in my approaches to putting marks on paper. So far I observed Degas’s work for the class and feel a round of pastel work coming. There is so much opportunity! I researched studio classes at the Museum of Fine Arts next, but will most likely enroll after summer when the girls are back in school. I have to admit, the driving to Boston has been the greatest deterrent of this adventure, but I am using Providence as my stepping stone ;-). As much as I love the train, their schedule does not fit mine, so I must drive. I am looking forward to the coming months and posting work. This summer will be spent gathering visual images of the Northeastern region and back in North Carolina. What excitement awaits!
